About the Author
Brian L. Ott is Professor of Media Studies at Colorado State University. His previous books include The Small Screen: How Television Equips Us to Live in the Information Age (Blackwell, 2007) and a co-edited volume titled, It’s Not TV: Watching HBO in the Post-Television Era (Routledge, 2008).
Robert L. Mack received his Master of Arts in Communication Studies from Colorado State University in 2009.

Media Studies for Media Psychology

This is used as one of two textbook in my media psychology class, the way the authors present the material is interesting. The book is written more in a conversation format rather than them throwing boring facts at you. They also give relevant examples, its not just the history of media. Its how the media presents things to you and what they accomplish with that. I have only read a few chapters so far, but thats definitely better than some of my other classes where I take to the internet rather than the book because they put me to sleep. Definitely an interesting read in my opinion.
